Advisory · Help with the big calls

A second set of eyes on the big decisions.

Everything in the dashboard plan, plus forecasting, planning and someone who knows your books cold when a hire, a truck or a second location is on the table. Some folks call this a fractional CFO.

Sound familiar?

If this is your shop, we should talk.

The decisions got bigger: a key hire, new trucks, a second crew, maybe financing. The analysis didn't keep up.
Your banker asks for projections, and what you have is last year's tax return.
The shop is profitable, but you're never sure what you can actually afford.
You want someone to pressure-test the plan who already knows your numbers.

A full-time CFO runs well into six figures a year. Most shops your size don't need the full-time part. They need the judgment when the big calls come up.

What's included

Here's everything you get.

Everything in the dashboard plan

Monthly books, statements, the monthly report and your live dashboard. The advice sits on numbers we keep ourselves, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Cash forecasting

A forward view of your cash, updated as each month closes. Slow seasons, tax payments and big equipment orders show up ahead of time.

Planning support

Help setting the year's plan and checking the shop against it every month, so the goals live somewhere other than your head.

Hiring and fleet decisions

What a new tech has to bring in before they pay for themselves, and when another truck or a second location actually pencils out. The analysis comes before the commitment.

Help with your lender

The projections and statements a bank asks for, and someone on the call with you so you're not translating finance-speak alone.

A standing partner

Pricing changes, big bids, major purchases. When something with a lot of zeros lands on your desk, you call us first.

Priced for the shop, not the hour

Advisory is scoped on a call around what your shop needs, and you get one flat number. No meter running on phone calls.

Not there yet?

If the books themselves are the problem, start with the monthly books. If they're clean and you want to see your numbers first, the dashboard plan comes before this one.

Getting started

How it works.

  1. A 30-minute call

We talk through the decisions in front of you. If Advisory isn't the right fit yet, we'll say so and point you to what is.

  2. We get inside the numbers

Books current, dashboard live and a baseline forecast built, so we know the shop before we advise on anything.

  3. You get a standing partner

Months close on schedule, the forecast stays current, and when a decision comes up you're talking to someone who already knows the whole picture.

Common questions

Straight answers.

Isn't a CFO overkill for a shop my size?

A full-time one, probably. If you're making six-figure decisions on hires, trucks or expansion, the analysis behind them is worth having. That's the part you're paying for.

Do you replace my CPA?

No, we work alongside them. Your CPA handles tax. We handle the books, the reporting and the forward-looking work, and we hand your CPA cleaner numbers.

Can you help with my bank or lender?

Yes. We build the projections and statements lenders ask for, and we can join those conversations with you.

What does it cost?

It's scoped per shop, because what owners need from this seat varies a lot. You leave the call with a flat number, with no hourly meter behind it.

Do you give tax or investment advice?

No. We do bookkeeping, financial systems and planning. Tax questions go to your CPA, and investment questions go to a licensed advisor.

What if I just need bookkeeping?

Then start with the monthly books. Moving up later is easy, because we already know your books.
