About Frank
I'm Frank. I keep the books for HVAC and plumbing shops.
Sturdy Numbers is a small Baton Rouge outfit. When you work with us, you work with me, and you hear back within one business day.
Eleven years in the infantry
Before this, I spent eleven years in the infantry. I led up to 200 people directly and ran operations for 800. Most of that work came down to knowing exactly what you had, what the job would take, and when you'd run short.
That habit carried over. I like knowing where every dollar is, where it's headed, and what happens if a big week goes sideways.
Why shop owners
I don't have a trade background, and I won't pretend to. I can't braze a line set or clear a main. What I can do is tell you what your last replacement job actually left in your pocket, and whether the shop can carry another tech through a slow month.
Owners keep asking the same handful of questions. What did that job make? Why is cash tight when we're this busy? Can I afford another truck? Your books already hold the answers. They just aren't set up to show them, so that's what I build.
How I work
Your books get done every month, on schedule, and reconciled to the statement. You get a dashboard that updates from those books, so you can check cash and job profit from your phone instead of waiting on a report.
You can ask me anything, and it never shows up on a bill. I'd rather hear the question before you sign the purchase order than after.
I don't give tax or investment advice. Your CPA handles taxes, and I hand them clean books to work from.
The record
What I bring to your books.
Discipline with numbers, a dashboard that answers the questions owners actually ask, and a reply by the next business day.
